With great performances and big sequences, 'Jack Reacher' stands out in the genre by bringing an investigation beyond explosive scenes. It can be said that the story is a mix of 'The Bourne Identity' with Sherlock Holmes. If you are a fan of Tom Cruise and action movies, you won't regret embarking on 'Jack Reacher: The Last Shot'. It is worth noting that this was the second film that Christopher McQuarrie directed, he was already known for his scripts. He started his partnership with Tom Cruise when he wrote 'Valkyrie' in 2008. Years later came 'Jack Reacher: The Last Shot', the two also worked together on 'The Mummy' and 'Edge of Tomorrow', where McQuarrie acted as a screenwriter. The filmmaker also embarked on the more recent 'Mission: Impossible' films, having directed 'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol', 'Fallout' and will also command the next two chapters of the franchise.

Among the positive points is that Rogue Nation continues the narrative presented in its predecessor and introduces key characters such as Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson). Unmissable also for seeing Cruise in even more extreme risk scenes.
Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One
It seems Tom Cruise has no limits: after scaling the Burj Khalifa and getting stuck outside an airplane, the actor continues to impress with his action scenes in the thrilling Mission: Impossible 7 - Dead Reckoning, Part One. Directed once again by Christopher McQuarrie (of Side Effects), the movie follows Ethan Hunt (Cruise) on an (almost) impossible mission: facing an artificial intelligence that has the power to control anything, even governments and intelligence agencies. A kind of digital The Thing from Another World, where nobody can trust anyone outside the real or analog world, paranoia takes over the story in one of the most desperate plots of the Mission: Impossible saga - we don't even feel the more than 2h40 of movie projection. And yet, the movie still features some spectacular action scenes, such as Tom Cruise's jump from a cliff and a desperate scene inside a train, where Hunt and Grace, an excellent new character played by Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter) must survive while parts of the train collapse.
