Why watch this film?
It can't be denied: the Turkish drama 'Mucize 2: Ask' is very beautiful. It's hard not to be moved by the powerful journey of overcoming that director Mahsun Kirmizigül (of the strange 'Terrorism in New York') traces for his two protagonists--even if the narrative is full of familiarities. After all, the plot is already moving. The story of the couple Aziz (Mert Turak) and Mizgin (Biran Damla Yilmaz) is told. Tired of the prejudice they live and witness in the city where they live, they decide to move to a more progressive city, always with the help of Professor Mahir (Fikret Kuskan). This is the moment, then, to reflect on life and adapt to the new culture. From there, Kirmizigül weaves an affable plot, which caresses the viewer, without ever weighing too much paint or exaggerating the tone of overcoming. The characters are charismatic and, above all, empathetic. This makes it easier to connect between the viewer and the work, making the bonds clear without losing the total quality of the Turkish production. It's a shame, however, that the tone of the film is too didactic, losing a lot of the sensitivity of the production. But still, it's a good option for those who like dramas outside the traditional circuit, being able to know new behaviors and cultures.
