Why watch this film?
The famous Broadway musical can finally be watched around the world. 'Hamilton' was recorded and released exclusively for Disney+. The play has become a phenomenon and this fame is justified. Through hip hop, rap and other musical styles, the movie tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, the first Secretary of the Treasury of the United States - he had a strong influence on the development of American capitalism. The story is loosely based on real facts but this did not exempt the creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, from criticism for casting an African-American cast to portray people who supported slavery, such as George Washington and other founders of the United States. Nevertheless, as an entertainment work, 'Hamilton' manages to be complete and the format that Disney+ brought, being the play filmed without adaptations to become a movie, gives the impression that you are in the first row of a theater. By "creative decision", in the words of Disney itself, the musical does not have an option of dubbing or Portuguese subtitles. There is only the option of closed caption (hidden subtitles) in English.
