Plot summary
Michael Gallagher reads in the paper that he is the subject of a criminal investigation. Suddenly, everything he has ever worked for is in jeopardy. He confronts the author, Megan Carter, a relentless investigative reporter. Together they learn that the story was purposely leaked to Carter as part of a plot by the chief investigator. Gallagher's life hangs in the balance as he and Carter try to uncover the truth.

Winner of seven Oscars, with an incredible photography of Africa, unforgettable soundtrack by John Barry and even more memorable performances by Robert Redford and Meryl Streep. The story of a philanthropist who travels to the heart of Africa in 1914, with the aim of helping the Kenyan population, is quite cliché and treated with certain prejudice - fruit of a colonizing vision of the time it was filmed, in the 1980s. However, the beauty and delicacy of the romance that arises between the characters of Streep and Redford help make the movie stand out compared to other nonsense of the kind. Special mention for the firm direction of Sydney Pollack, firm in his convictions.
Tootsie
One of the great movies of the 1980s, balancing fun with drama (of a man unable to work) and romance. The end result is entertaining and it even earned Jessica Lange an Oscar for Best Actress.
Amazing Grace
Without a doubt, Aretha Franklin was one of the great names of American music and even worldwide, traversing between musical genres such as Soul, R&B, pop, gospel and dance - not to mention her importance in the fight for civil rights for blacks. That is why it is a true gift to find something still unpublished by the singer, and that is exactly what we have in 'Amazing Grace'. The film is the record of an Aretha show held in 1972, when she recorded the album 'Amazing Grace'. Originally directed by Sydney Pollack (from 'Tootsie' and 'Absence of Malice'), the concert was not released at the time due to audio synchronization problems with the images. This was only recently resolved, resulting in a historically impeccable and musically impeccable account of the star, who died in 2018 at the age of 76.
