The Bad Batch

Arlen fights for survival in a Texas wasteland ruled by cannibals.

Why watch this film?

For the brave of heart (and stomach), this post-apocalyptic romance with a touch of thriller and dark comedy is unlike anything you've ever seen (and yes, it does involve cannibalism). From the director of 'A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night', it delivers an acidic political critique of the US, while riding on a great cast that includes Keanu Reeves, Jim Carrey, Jason Momoa and newcomer Suki Waterhouse. Winner of the Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival.

Plot summary

The Bad Batch follows Arlen after she's left in a Texas wasteland fenced off from civilization. While trying to navigate the unforgiving landscape, Arlen is captured by a savage band of cannibals led by the mysterious Miami Man. With her life on the line she makes her way to The Dream. As she adjusts to life in 'the bad batch' Arlen discovers that being good or bad mostly depends on who's standing next to you.
