Why watch this film?

Having awareness of what is around us. If we were to sum up in just one sentence mindfulness, one of the phenomena of the current world which means “full attention” in Portuguese, perhaps the phrase that opens this text would already suffice. But these words are still little to describe one of the greatest masters of this teaching and of zen-buddhism, the Buddhist monk Thích Nhất Hạnh, who was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. In this documentary, narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch (from ‘Sherlock’ and ‘Doctor Strange’), we are taken on a great meditation journey alongside the Vietnamese, looking to open our minds to the present in a true meditation in the form of a film. Recommended to those who seek to slow down their hectic pace of life, examining life and our own mortality.
