Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

The Federation and Klingon empire face their deadliest encounter in a peace summit.

Why watch this film?

This is the last movie with the classic cast of 'Star Trek', in a big allegory about the end of the Cold War. After the destruction of one of Qo'noS' moons, the Klingons are forced to seek a peace agreement with the United Federation of Planets-- and the USS Enterprise-A is called to escort a Klingon delegation to participate in the negotiations. Thus, the screenplay brings interesting moral dilemmas (were the aliens, for example, who killed Kirk's son?), In addition to a small "who killed" mystery in its last act. Looking at it today, the story (even swapping the allegory) still works.
