Why watch this film?

A classic children's movie from the 1980s unites the legendary musician and actor David Bowie with the also legendary creator of the Muppets and 'Sesame Street', Jim Henson, and the creator of 'Star Wars', George Lucas. As expected, the feature has a notable performance from Bowie, incredible puppetry, and a dark aesthetic that left a lasting impression. There is also a great soundtrack composed by Bowie and Trevor Jones ('The Last of the Mohicans'). Despite being a box-office flop upon its release, its constant TV showings made the movie an eventual cult phenomenon. For some, the film may have its script issues and look dated today – but for others, it is a pleasant memory of a great era.
