Why watch this film?

Directed by Walter Salles (“Central do Brasil”) and based on the book of the same name, written by Jack Kerouac, it features a stellar cast and beautiful cinematography (by Eric Gautier, from “Diarios de Motocicleta”). With sex, nudity, and drugs, it certainly isn't a movie for everyone and doesn't have the same impact as the original work. But still, the production has its merits and was even selected for the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.
