Why watch this film?

Timeless classic, 'Dirty Dancing' may be the best of the crop of 1980s and 1990s movies involving music, dance, and romance -- there's also 'Flashdance' and 'Footloose'. In the plot, a girl (Jennifer Grey) goes with her parents to a holiday club and, there, ends up getting involved in the world of dance with a more than charming instructor (Patrick Swayze, at the peak of his career). Fun and exciting, the feature film hits not only on the chemistry-filled romance between the two characters, but also has some of the most memorable scenes of the 1980s cinema: it's hard not to get excited with the final dance or the rehearsals full of second intentions. In the end, you live a roller coaster of emotions with these characters, hoping they can stay together while also getting excited with the soundtrack.
