This documentary, which carries the Netflix original seal, details the life and career of Quincy Jones, one of the world's greatest music and rap names - receiving no less than 79 Grammy nominations (Oscar for music), winning in 27 opportunities. If you still don't recognize him, just say he was Michael Jackson's producer - and responsible for arrangements like "Thriller" song, or even the producer from the series "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," when he discovered Will Smith. For all that, it is a relevant, though superficial, record of the artist's work. The direction is by Rashida Jones, Quincy's daughter.

But it would be a mistake to say it's just a female version of the first documentary. Through a select group of girls participating in a federal government simulation in Missouri, this film reveals, firstly, how American politics operates. But secondly, and more importantly, it explores how an environment supposedly empowering girls can both propel and limit them at the same time, raising questions about what we understand about power and the ways to exercise it.
Earth Protectors
Documentaries about the climate crisis are never too many, but sometimes it can be challenging to find one that presents its arguments in a different and memorable way. Earth Protectors is a worthy attempt. Directed by French artist and environmental activist Anne de Carbuccia, it artistically documents her 10-year journey around the world exploring the impact of climate change in various countries, as well as the solutions undertaken to empower global citizens and address the crisis. At times, de Carbuccia and her works take more prominence than necessary, but she manages to present vital information.
