In 1988, Mozambique was in a civil war. This situation was extremely severe for the population, who lived in a state of near misery. To save themselves, these people embarked on an extremely risky train journey. All of this is told in 'Train of Salt and Sugar', an international co-production that was chosen to represent Mozambique at the Oscars and that was praised at various festivals.
