Why watch this film?
This is the first feature film by Iranian director Alireza Khatami, who has made a career in both American and French cinema, but now shot in Chile. This is a powerful and melancholic film about injustice and the uncertainty of the forced disappearances. It's a grand debut, as the movie was selected for the Toronto Film Festival and won the best script award at Venice.
