Why watch this film?

One of the highlights of Brad Pitt's career is based on a true story: that of Austrian mountaineer Henrich Harrer, who, due to his German citizenship, finds himself imprisoned in a POW camp at the foot of the Himalayas - and attempts to escape from there through the daunting mountain range. From there begins a great adventure in Tibet, including politics and religious discoveries with none other than the Dalai Lama. Certainly a fascinating story.
