Why watch this film?
Lee Cronin is a young promise of terror, and 'The Cursed Forest' is his first feature film, with a solid rhythm based on psychological horror. You can see a marked influence of Gothic horror and films like 'The Prophecy' and 'The Devil's Advocate', the director manages to create a powerful gloomy atmosphere throughout the movie, for a result that transcends beyond mere scares and other genre clichés.

Evil Dead Rise
Since its first installment, the Evil Dead saga has been distinguished for existing between two worlds: cult following for its idiosyncratic creation under director Sam Raimi, and expansion towards a movie franchise that transcends original stories and characters. After the 2013 remake starring Jane Levy, Evil Dead Rise is another attempt to expand the franchise even though it actually takes many elements from the originals. The plot follows a woman, her sister, and her children who become trapped in their apartment after a blackout, while a horde of demons looms over them after finding a mysterious book. Even though it doesn't innovate much, the subtext about motherhood and family, the brilliant performances (Alyssa Sutherland is a delight), and solid direction and makeup make this a fun step in the right direction. Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is the unlikely sequel to the feature film that placed the characters of this playful and childlike universe into a world of violence and horror. However, don't expect a production as weak as the previous film: with the success of the first installment at the box office, the production had more money to invest, and thus Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 manages to be more realistic, violent, and impressive compared to the first film. The characters' masks are much scarier, and it ceases to be a complete joke. It's still difficult to take the film entirely seriously, especially with this bizarre premise of Pooh and his friends seeking bloody revenge, but you can already feel more fear and, above all, immerse yourself in the wave of violence that the film promotes. To have fun with friends.
