Why watch this film?

Selected for the Quinzena of Filmmakers, which is parallel to the Cannes Festival, 'Los silencios' takes place in the triple border between Brazil, Colombia and Peru. Thus, it addresses the impact of the conflict on the Colombian side on the lives of the people who inhabit the region. Therefore, we have a raw portrait of a Latin America in crisis. The direction is by Beatriz Siegner, in only her second credit as a director, and the cast features Enrique Díaz (‘O Mecanismo’), who is of Peruvian birth.
