Why watch this film?
Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day redefined action and science fiction films in their respective eras. However, everything within the franchise that came after was, to a greater or lesser degree, an anticlimax. After almost 20 years, Terminator: Dark Fate marks the return of the saga's creator, James Cameron (now as producer and screenwriter), and ignores everything that has been told since the second movie - which, in itself, is good news. This does not prevent the viewer from having that déjà vu feeling, since several concepts are reused and there is very little that is really new. On the other hand, director Tim Miller (Deadpool) compensates for the deficiencies of the script with great action sequences. Another return is Linda Hamilton, now leading a cast that includes Mackenzie Davis (one of the big names of the new generation), Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, Diego Boneta and, of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Far from being an innovative or unforgettable film as the franchise has been, it fulfills its role as entertainment well.

The film is heavily based on the comics, mainly the Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinness era of Deadpool. So we get a movie that mixes humor, violence and action into a fun story. Ryan Reynolds is totally comfortable in the title role, breaking the fourth wall and dialoguing with the audience. The film was a pleasant surprise for fans and critics alike, taking away the bad taste left by 'X-Men: Apocalypse.'

Bloodsport
Jean-Claude Van Damme makes his starring debut in the descriptively titled Bloodsport. An American soldier at large in Hong Kong, Van Damme becomes involved in the Kumite, a highly illegal kickboxing competition. Whoever survives the bout will be crowned Kumite champion of the world…a title that has plenty of challengers with homicide in their hearts. The finale offers a duel to the death between Van Damme and reigning Kumite king Bolo Yeung. The script is based on the real-life exploits of martial arts champ Frank Dux, who serves as the film's fight coordinator.

The Order
In The Order, Van Damme plays a man accused of murder who seeks a sacred scripture in Jerusalem before it falls into the wrong hands, jeopardizing his freedom. With shades of Dan Brown and a script by Jean Claude Van Damme himself, alongside Les Weldon (screenwriter of another action star film, Replicant), the movie is what every fan of the Belgian actor wants: brawling, with a fun plot, and never boring.
