Why watch this film?

Praised by critics both in Brazil and abroad (including prestigious outlets such as The New York Times and Variety), 'Socrates' is a raw and cruel portrait of the reality of young people in our country. Misery and prejudice permeate our society, making the poorest the main victims. The titular character is played by Christian Malheiros, from the Netflix hit 'Sintonia', in an impeccable performance - bringing all the layers of a young man trying to balance his ideals and the punches in the stomach he receives from life. More than a movie, 'Socrates' is a window for many to look beyond their own reality, creating empathy and, above all, getting out of the inertia of the couch.
