Why watch this film?
Rarely can we see people with some physical disability taking control of their own stories on screen, in an authentic way. The Japanese drama '37 Seconds' is one of those uncommon examples. Starring amateur actress Mei Kayama, it's an emotionally charged movie that portrays an everyday heroine with a very honest look at her family life, dreams, creativity and even her sexual awakening. Even though the script becomes more complicated than necessary in the last act, with an excess of family drama, the result is a feature film that you won't forget anytime soon. It's worth crying over.
