Why watch this film?

Alongside 'Dirty Dancing' and 'Footloose', the movie 'Flashdance' forms a trio of dance productions released and celebrated in the 1980s. With its particular style, however, it can be said that this Adrian Lyne (of 'Alucinações do Passado') film is the most "out of the box". After all, the feature delves into the life of a night dancer (Jennifer Beals, at the peak of her career) trying her luck as a ballerina. It's hard not to surrender to the protagonist's journey, as well as cheer and get emotional with each challenge she faces. It's a production with a particular aesthetic, with the look of the 1980s, which is mainly marked by the music ("What a feeling! Bein's believin'!") and by the good dance scenes. Thus, 'Flashdance' is a good movie to entertain, sing, dance and enter a time machine to other eras.
