Why watch this film?
Nicolas Cage is filming movies at such a breakneck speed that it's almost impossible to keep up. 'Primal' is one of the six (six!) he released in the US in 2019, and delivers everything you can expect from the star (for better or for worse), including a B-movie vibe as Cage hunts a white jaguar being taken to the Brazilian Amazon (don't let the folks from Onçafari find out!) and faces off against bandits. The CGI has moments of cringe-worthiness and attempts to mimic, at times, the vibe of 'Con Air' miserably fail. But who am I kidding? If you like Nicolas Cage, not only are you going to watch the movie - you're looking forward to all this described here with a smile on your face.
