Why watch this film?
"Overcomer" is a movie with clear goals: to captivate the viewer with the challenges that arise from sports and to move them with the faith of the characters. And it works. Despite director Alex Kendrick's exaggerations from the also tearful "War Room", the feature film hits the mark with the emotions of the Christian audience, while at the same time seeking to captivate more people with the sports challenges. In the end, the result is exciting and inspiring.
