At first glance, the Romanian dramedy 'Povestea unui pierde-vara' may seem like an imitation (or homage) to Woody Allen's cinema: urban landscapes as the backdrop of various romances between a man and several women (usually younger than him), to the sound of popular music and hysterical screams. However, at the same time, it also works as a curious parody of how absurd Allen's cinema can be. Directed by Paul Negoescu, whom you may know from the cult comedy 'Two Lottery Tickets'.

Plot summary
Petru is a professor of mathematics at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and leads a carefree life. He's in an open relationship with Irina, who overlooks that he sleeps with other women from time to time. But once Irina gets pregnant, Petru is forced to change his lifestyle and grow up, even he's 42. One of his friends, who was always there for him, decides to write a book about his story.
