Why watch this film?

The greatness of a sport can be measured by the size of its legends. In motorsport, the first of them is undoubtedly the Argentinian Juan Manuel Fangio. Five-time Formula 1 world champion - a record that would only be broken about 50 years later by Michael Schumacher - in an era when cars had almost the same speed as today, but not a tenth of the current safety. 'A Life of Speed: The Juan Manuel Fangio Story' analyzes the life and work of this track ace, showing the adrenaline and passion of an era in which love for speed was worth more than marketing and commerce. The film brings beautiful archive images (including some in color), with the beautiful cars of teams like Ferrari, Mercedes, Maserati and Alfa Romeo. There is also the Brazilian Ayrton Senna, declaring his love for "El Maestro", as well as statements from Jackie Stewart, Nico Rosberg, Toto Wolff and many more.
