In action movies, it is usually the case that the characters operate within very simple and well-defined moral codes in terms of "good" and "bad". In 'Hollow Point' the antagonists can still be seen as the bad guys, but the heroes (or anti-heroes, better say) are a bit more complex, as they decide to take justice into their own hands when it fails the innocent. Despite the fact that the movie's budget is very low by Hollywood standards, the action sequences are very well done, and it also features Luke Goss' ("Hellboy 2: The Golden Army") contribution.

Acceleration
Dolph Lundgren became very famous for making action movies (the 'Mercenaries' franchise, 'Rocky IV', 'Masters of the Universe' and some films from the 'Universal Soldier' franchise) and in 'Acceleration' we have him back to his roots. The film tells the story of a mother who, to save her son who is being held hostage by a mafia boss (played by Lundgren), must eliminate powerful and dangerous enemies of the boss, all in one night in Los Angeles. In addition to Dolph, the feature also features Danny Trejo (from 'Machete') and Chuck Liddel (famous UFC fighter). The coolest thing is that, even though it has all these male stars known for their action movies, the protagonist is actress Natalie Burn, who carries the movie with her performance. It's a frenetic movie, with lots of energy and action. If you like movies like 'Endless Night', it's a great pick.
Crossing Point
In 'Crossing Point', Michael (Shawn Lock) and Olivia (María Gabriela de Faría) are a young American couple on a trip to the city of Baja. The journey takes a different turn when Olivia is kidnapped by traffickers, who demand that Michael transport a backpack full of cocaine stolen from an enemy cartel to the US border. Released in 2016, 'Crossing Point' is the perfect choice for action movie fans, with a pinch of suspense. Featuring an all-star cast, the film will surely keep you hooked throughout the entire plot.
