Why watch this film?
In a similar vein to classic action thrillers such as Die Hard, Final Score is a movie with no greater aspirations beyond pure, spectacle-driven escapism—and it succeeds in that goal resoundingly. Outside of its amazing action scenes, it may not seem very innovative in comparison to other productions in the genre. Nonetheless, former wrestler Dave Bautista convinces as a serious action hero outside of more comedic projects like Guardians of the Galaxy and Spy Guys, so he could easily become the star of his own franchise in years to come.

After suffering a traumatic climbing incident, a young woman distances herself from everyone and everything until her best friend calls her for an insane challenge: to climb together an old 600-meter-high antenna. The fact that the antenna is old, rusty and dangerous does not discourage them, and the two women end up trapped at the top, with no way down, no water and no communication. The premise of 'Fall' is built from one stupid decision after another from its characters, but that's the least of it: it is justified by extremely emotional and tense footage, not suitable for weak stomachs. The finale offers a duel to the death between Van Damme and reigning Kumite king Bolo Yeung. The script is based on the real-life exploits of martial arts champ Frank Dux, who serves as the film's fight coordinator.

In The Order, Van Damme plays a man accused of murder who seeks a sacred scripture in Jerusalem before it falls into the wrong hands, jeopardizing his freedom. With shades of Dan Brown and a script by Jean Claude Van Damme himself, alongside Les Weldon (screenwriter of another action star film, Replicant), the movie is what every fan of the Belgian actor wants: brawling, with a fun plot, and never boring.
